IN-PERSON RETREAT: Indi-Go-Modern
WOODLAND RIDGE RETREAT: This is a rare opportunity to take my very popular Indi-Go-Modern workshop in a multi-day retreat format! You will finish a modern quilt in the time we have together.
This is the perfect class to use fresh blue and white fabrics, either from Japan or from your stash. We will start out by stitching practice blocks (maquettes) from blue and white paper, then translate our ideas to fabric! Each participant will develop a minimal block design, set a theme and create variations, and combine them into a clean and modern quilt. You will choose between three possible designs for your blue and white quilt. Layered walking foot quilting, big stitch hand quilting, and binding will wrap up our time together — with a finished quilt!
This workshop is a five-day in-person event. We will have the luxury of nearly a week of workshop time to design and develop a beautiful modern quilt in a gorgeous rural setting.
